Position: Visual Content Creator: Photographer & Reels Videographer
Reporting to: Head of Marketing
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)

Role Overview
As a client-facing role, the Visual Content Creator will lead all aspects of content creation to conceptualize, plan, and execute photo and video shoots. This role closely collaborates with the agency team including the Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, and Account team to ensure that all visual content aligns with the client’s marketing strategies. This full-time position offers shift-based work with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, based on client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Technical Execution
- Content Creation: Conceptualize and produce visually compelling images and videos that align with clients’ brand identities and marketing strategies.
- Photography Expertise: Utilize advanced techniques in lighting, composition, and exposure to create high-quality content across diverse environments (indoor, outdoor, low-light).
- Reels & Video Production: Capture and edit engaging reels and behind-the-scenes footage, ensuring creative storytelling that resonates with target audiences.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current with photography, editing, and social media trends, implementing innovative solutions that enhance client content.
- Equipment Proficiency: Expertly use personal devices such as iPhone 14 Pro+ or Google Pixel for capturing reel footage for specific clients.
- Advanced Editing: Leverage Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) to deliver polished and cohesive content optimized for various digital platforms.
- Technical Adaptability: Adjust content formats to meet platform-specific requirements for social media, web, and other digital formats.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and troubleshoot photography gear, utilizing the provided camera allowance to invest in equipment when necessary.
- Photoshoot Preparation: Maintain a well-equipped “shoot kit” with essential gear, including lighting, extension cords, battery packs, and lenses.
Client Engagement & Scheduling
- Client Relationships: Serve as an agency ambassador and key contact for clients, ensuring that all photo and reel captures are results-driven and aligned with their goals.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Independently manage photoshoot scheduling, ensuring timely content production in coordination with account managers and clients.
- Pre-Shoot Preparation: Lead pre-shoot meetings to align stakeholders on objectives, shot lists, and creative direction.
- Location Scouting: Pre-scout new shoot locations to ensure optimal conditions, such as lighting and space, are considered before shoot day.
- Content Delivery: Take full ownership of delivering professionally edited photos and video reels that meet client brand guidelines and deadlines.
- Event Coverage: Conduct monthly photo drop-ins, often outside standard office hours, to capture pre- and post-event or ‘action’ footage as needed.

- Performance Tracking: Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that assess service quality and effectiveness.
- Project Management: Balance multiple client projects, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining flexibility for shift-based work, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Efficient Time Budgeting: Plan for pre-production, shoot day hours, travel, and post-production editing to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in professional photography, with a portfolio showcasing hospitality, lifestyle, or event photography.
- Expertise in food, lifestyle, or event photography is essential.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) and other relevant editing software.
- Strong knowledge of professional camera and lighting equipment, including setup and troubleshooting, though also flexible in using iPhone or Google Pixel devices to capture high-quality photos and Reels footage when required, adapting to client preferences or project needs.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate creatively and effectively with clients and internal teams.
- A creative eye for detail, storytelling, and an understanding of social media trends and best practices.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to visual content.
- Experience managing time budgets for shoots, travel, and editing.
- Ability to maintain physical stamina for extended hours of shooting, standing, and moving equipment.
